Review the examples below to understand common artwork issues before uploading your design.
Use sharp, high-quality artwork. Enlarging a small or blurry image may result in pixelated prints.
Remove unwanted backgrounds. A solid white background may print as part of your design.
Very thin lines and tiny isolated elements may not transfer reliably. Bolder designs are generally easier to print and press.
Some AI-generated images contain a fake checkerboard background. It may look transparent, but the pattern is actually part of the image and can appear in your print.

Important: AI editing may change fine details, text, or colors. Always inspect your final PNG at its actual print size before ordering.
Our Gang Sheet Builder makes it easy to upload, resize, duplicate, and arrange multiple designs on a single sheet. Follow the guidelines below to choose the correct print sizes and prepare your order with confidence.
The dimensions you set in the Gang Sheet Builder determine the size of the uploaded image area. If your PNG contains unnecessary transparent margins, the actual printed design may be smaller than expected. Crop excess transparent space before uploading and measure the actual artwork, not the empty space around it.
Use the chart below as a general starting point for T-shirt and hat printing. Actual print sizes may vary based on garment size, style, design proportions, and placement.
Print placement and dimensions can vary between different garments. Consider the following before finalizing your artwork size.
Recommended sizes are only starting points. Measure your actual shirt, hoodie, or other garment to determine the best width, height, and placement.
For 3XL, 4XL, and larger garments, you may increase the print size proportionally to achieve a balanced appearance. Always confirm the available printable area before resizing.
For front-center prints on hoodies, avoid the kangaroo pocket, seams, zippers, and other uneven areas. Measure the usable space above the pocket rather than the full front of the garment.
Hat print dimensions depend on panel size, seams, curvature, and the available heat press attachment. Always check the printable area and test the transfer before production.
Youth, toddler, and fitted garments generally require smaller designs. Adjust the artwork to suit the actual shirt dimensions and proportions.
A wide design and a tall design may require different dimensions on the same garment. Keep the original proportions and avoid stretching artwork to fill a specific area.
A PNG file can have a genuinely transparent background but still contain large empty margins. These margins can affect the final printed design size.
The artwork occupies only part of the image canvas. Setting the entire image to 12 inches can make the design print smaller.
The image canvas closely follows the actual design. This makes the final print dimensions easier to control.
Always verify the actual artwork dimensions after cropping. Maintain the original aspect ratio when resizing, and leave enough space between designs for cutting. Cropping transparent margins is different from removing a background: both should be checked before uploading.
Follow these steps to prepare your gang sheet before checkout.
Select the correct transfer type, such as Standard, Glitter, or Reflective DTF, and choose your available sheet size.
Upload print-ready PNG files with genuine transparency. Remove unwanted backgrounds and excess empty space first.
Set the desired width and height for each design. Maintain proportions and duplicate artwork as needed.
Organize the artwork within the available sheet area. Leave enough spacing between designs for easy cutting and separation.
Double-check print dimensions, quantity, orientation, image quality, and sheet boundaries. Make sure nothing is cropped or overlapping.
Once everything looks correct, add the gang sheet to your cart and complete checkout. Your submitted layout will be used for production.

Follow these guidelines to achieve smooth, long-lasting DTF transfers. Proper temperature, pressure, pressing time, and cooling are essential for successful application.
Our standard DTF transfers require a full cold peel. Allow the transfer to cool completely to room temperature before removing the film. Peeling while warm may cause lifting or damage to the design.
Select your fabric type below to find recommended starting settings. Always perform a test press before full production.
| Fabric Type | Temperature | Press Time | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|

Follow these four steps for consistent transfer results.
Pre-press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. Make sure the printing surface is smooth and free from lint or debris.
Place the transfer on the garment with the printed ink and adhesive facing the fabric, and the carrier film facing up. Press using the recommended settings for your fabric type.
Allow the transfer to cool completely to room temperature. Slowly peel the carrier film back at a low angle. If any part of the design lifts, stop peeling and check adhesion.
After removing the film, cover the design with suitable parchment or protective paper. Press again for approximately 5–8 seconds using settings appropriate for the fabric.
A finishing press can help improve bonding with the fabric, reduce surface irregularities, and improve the durability and feel of the print. Use even pressure and avoid excessive heat on sensitive fabrics.
Small details require consistent contact with the fabric. Use even pressure and avoid pressing over seams or folds.
Textured materials may need additional pressure and a finishing press to achieve proper bonding.
Use lower temperatures where appropriate to help prevent scorching, discoloration, and dye migration.
Use a heat press pillow or suitable platen to provide more even pressure across the design.
Some fabric finishes can prevent adhesive bonding. Always test a small transfer before proceeding.
Confirm your actual platen temperature and make sure pressure is distributed evenly. Displayed temperatures may differ from the platen surface.
Having trouble with your transfer? Review these common application issues.
Check heat press temperature, pressing time, and pressure. Remove moisture before pressing and confirm the fabric is compatible. Test adjusted settings on a sample.
Stop peeling immediately. Allow the transfer to cool completely if it is still warm. If adhesion remains poor, replace the carrier film if possible, cover with a protective sheet, and re-press using tested settings. Do not force the film off.
Check for uneven pressure, seams, textured fabric, or insufficient adhesion. Test a finishing press with appropriate heat and pressure.
Lower the temperature if the transfer and garment allow it. Reduce unnecessary pressing time and use a suitable protective sheet.
Check for wrinkles, moisture, seams, or inconsistent pressure. A tested finishing press may improve the final appearance.
Proper care helps keep your DTF-printed garments looking vibrant, soft, and long-lasting. Follow these simple guidelines to protect your printed designs wash after wash.
Allow at least 24 hours after heat pressing before washing your garment. This helps avoid unnecessary stress on the newly applied transfer.
These simple steps can help maintain the quality and appearance of your DTF-printed garments.
After heat pressing, allow the garment to rest for at least 24 hours before its first wash.
Turn the garment inside out before washing to reduce friction on the printed surface.
Machine wash in cold water, preferably at or below 86°F (30°C), using a gentle or delicate cycle.
Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, and fabric softeners that may affect the print or fabric.
Find answers to common questions about caring for DTF-printed apparel.
Yes. Turn the garment inside out, use cold water, a mild detergent, and a gentle washing cycle. Always follow the garment care label.
Air drying is preferred. If using a dryer, select low heat and avoid excessive drying time. High temperatures may affect print durability.
Possible causes include excessive heat, repeated friction, unsuitable washing conditions, or insufficient adhesion during the original heat pressing process. If peeling or cracking occurs, stop using high heat and inspect the garment before further washing.
Properly applied DTF prints are designed to retain their appearance through repeated washing. However, print longevity varies with fabric, application quality, detergent, washing frequency, and drying conditions.
We recommend avoiding bleach, harsh chemicals, and fabric softeners to help preserve both the print and the garment.
Do not iron directly on the print. If ironing is necessary, turn the garment inside out and use the appropriate temperature for the fabric, avoiding direct heat on the printed area.
